FormLA Maintenance Care Team
FormLA owners Cassy and Kirk Aoyagi are committed to providing clients' with hassle-free outdoor living spaces ideal for relaxation, rejuvenation and enjoyment. This commitment requires ensuring maintenance teams have the expertise needed to keep smart technologies running smoothly and plants thriving in a variety of seasons and conditions.
Maintenance care supervisor Noe Granados and horticultural care technician Cara Barnard provide day-to-day supervision and support for FormLA's teams of professional gardeners. On-site during regularly scheduled maintenance visits, Cara and Noe take pride in giving clients peace of mind and confidence that every outdoor detail is managed. Both Noe and Cara take a proactive approach to their work, anticipating client needs and training FormLA gardening professionals to adapt tasks to the season and ever-changing needs of evolving gardens. Their work ensures each FormLA-maintained property is safe, clean, healthy and vibrant.
Maintenance Care Supervisor Noe Granados provides direct supervision of maintenance care teams and ensures maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with client preferences and expectations. He facilitates communication between clients and hands-on maintenance teams. Noe also coordinates with FormLA owners Cassy and Kirk Aoyagi to ensure they know the status of each FormLA-maintained property.
Attracted to the company's commitment to sustainable practices, Noe joined FormLA in April of 2009 with 8 years of gardening and landscaping experience. Prior to joining FormLA, Noe earned a landscape contractors license, and completed a landscape occupational program at the North Valley Occupational Center.
Noe will be teaching a series of Spanish-language sustainable landscaping courses for the City of Santa Monica in 2010. He will also co-teach the City's English-language sustainable landscaping course series with FormLA President Cassy Aoyagi.
When he isn't working or teaching, Noe enjoys camping, boating and fishing with his wife and 10-month old son, as well as horseback riding in the Tujunga Wash with his brother.
Horticultual Care Technician Cara Barnard provides on-site horticultural care expertise, as well as supervision and support for FormLA teams of professional gardeners. Her keen eye for horticultural design and understanding of plant growth patterns ensures FormLA-maintained landscapes stay true to their intended form.
Cara joined FormLA Landscaping from a high-end specialty nursery in San Francisco. There, she gained hands-on horticultural design experience and expertise in bringing out the very best in a wide variety of species. Prior to working at the nursery, Cara worked for a custom, comprehensive sustainable landscaping firm, also in San Francisco. Cara's degree in interior design and years as a florist also contribute to her perspective as a professional gardener.
Cara's passion for plants extends beyond her work. In her free time, she enjoys botanical artwork and regularly volunteered at the San Francisco Botanical Gardens before relocating to Los Angeles. She is currently running trails in her spare time, preparing for the 2010 L.A. Marathon.
FormLA President Cassy Aoyagi sees proactive, detail-oriented maintenance as critical to the long-term vitality and utility of the landscapes FormLA Landscaping designs and builds. She regularly visits client landscapes to track their progress and assess needs with Noe and Cara.
Cassy takes a hands-on approach to team education. A LEED® certified professional and registered sustainable landscaper; Cassy ensures FormLA's professional gardeners stay abreast of sustainable landscaping best practices, local landscaping codes, and the latest landscape support technologies.
