As we head into fall, we look forward to seeing your native plants and grasses rejuvenate and bloom with the cooler weather. We also look forward to hearing your thoughts and opinions about our services.
On Friday September 18, those of you who are clients will receive our client survey. Please watch your inboxes for an email from Cassy (or, if you’ve requested paper communication, your mailbox). Your happiness is important to us, and we will use your feedback to improve our products and services.
Many thanks for your willingness to share your thoughts and opinions!
Sincerely,
Cassy and Kirk Aoyagi

Hike and Learn at the Coast

The City of Santa Monica will provide up to 50 percent or $5000 for sustainable landscaping of any type of property within the City of Santa Monica. Three FormLA clients earned grants to add qualified irrigation equipment and climate-appropriate plants to their parkways. Many L.A. cities have similar incentives.
It's now possible to view the distinctive, sustainable custom landscapes created by FormLA Landscaping at a glance! See a range of outdoor living spaces, including water-wise fountains, handsome barbeques and fire pits, as well as lush, colorful natives.
Win the FormLA Wet to Dry Exchange and plant a nice, big dry one wherever you like! Both Salvia Splendens and Zauschneria offer fiery red blooms that can bring life to dry, late summer landscapes. Guess which plant lives dry and which will drink you out of house and home.
Aoyagi now represents the Theodore Payne Foundation on the L.A. County Green Building Landscape Subcommittee. The subcommittee, which includes landscape architects, county planners, and representatives from four L.A. County-based garden foundations, is tasked with developing a local mandatory drought tolerant plant list consistent with the California Department of Water Resources’ Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance by April of 2010.
