Join the La Canada Thursday Club in discussion of how to be Be Water Wise Today, Tomorrow and Always with panelists including:
  • Mark Pestrella, assistant director, County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, who will primarily discussing about the Devil’s Gate Dam project,
  • Rachel Young, director of horticulture and garden operations, Descanso Gardens, speaking about how they water the gardens and some of the new programs they have on water usage,
  • Mark Martinez, manager, DSM strategy and compliance, Southern California Edison, who is deeply involved with water issues for the company, and
  • Cassy Aoyagi, president, FormLA Landscaping and the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wildflowers and Native Plants, who will cover water wise plant materials and sustainable landscape design, indoors and out.
The program will include a 30 minute question and answer period, and a meet and greet with the panelists with light refreshments.
