The first Van Nuys Planning Summit, hosted by the Van Nuys Neighborhood Council will focus on land use planning, mobility and design issues for Van Nuys and the surrounding communities. Its goal will be to move toward a sustainable environment with active community participation and responsive local government. A wide variety of speakers will cover topics related to Mayor Garcetti’s planning initiatives.
FormLA Landscaping President Cassy Aoyagi will speak on a panel entitled Housing, Sustainability and Design. She will be joined by Israel Cruz of the L.A. Neighborhood Land Trust, Melinda Winterer with The River Project, Amy Cole with L.A. Family Housing, and Stacey Rains with the Van Nuys Neighborhood Council.
