Join FormLA Landscaping President Cassy Aoyagi in a tour of Rosemont Preserve, protected wilderness land in La Crecenta. The tour will include space recently reclaimed from invasive plant species in an effort to prevent fire and slides.
Attendees will explore this extraordinary space and learn:
- The importance of beauty authentic to its place
- Which native plants resist fire and protect slopes from slides
- What it takes to keep popular natives happy
This event is free to the public, all ages, no reservations required. Sturdy shoes, long pants, and a hat are recommended, as are water and sunscreen. Rain cancels event. Sorry, no pets please.
The Preserve is located at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence: (map). As street parking is limited, please park at Two Strike Park. Hope to see you there!
