VALUED CUSTOMERS & FRIENDS+

Living in LA is a year-round gift, but this month LA has given us more than most. With rain comes a reprieve and some peace of mind post-fire, not to mention a fresh and clean LA ready to grow whatever we all choose to plant.

Just this week, USGBC-LA gave us the gift and joy of honoring a few long time friends who have planted great things for this city. Housing for seniors without homes. A showcase of water savings surrounded by water 1 percenters. Wisdom that can protect us from fire.

These gifts have us heading into the holidays with full hearts! We hope they find you all wrapped in joy, health, love and nature.

Sincerely,
Cassy and Kirk

TEAM UPDATE+

For decades, J Lopez has worked to protect LA from wildfire and increase Angelenos understanding of how we can keep our homes and LA safe. He’s long been our hero, and it was a joy to see USGBC-LA honor his impact on LA’s resilience!

Congratulations Matloff Family and Thomas Safran Associates!

USGBC-LA awarded the Matloff Family Residence in Windsor Square for innovations in water savings.

Thomas Safran and Associates’ Gateway at Willowbrook won multiple Sustainable Innovation Awards for site selection, water conservation, and positive impacts on health and wellbeing.

Our own Isara Ongwiseth designed both projects. We couldn’t be prouder of his remarkable work and impact!

Tables at the USGBC-LA looked bright and hopeful thanks to happy potted succulents provided by Asian Ceramics and (native!) seeds of community from the Theodore Payne Foundation. Thank you!
