Want to get the New Look for L.A. but not sure where to start? Join La Canada Valley Beautiful and FormLA Landscaping in maintaining the Gardens of the World demonstration gardens at the La Canada Public Library to see just how easy and enjoyable maintaining a sustainable garden can be.  You will learn about climate-compatible foliage and have a chance to see just how easy and enjoyable maintaining a sustainable garden can be!

Learn about Lush:  The five drought tolerant Gardens of the World represent the Los Angeles climate-compatible regions of the world, highlighting natives from Australia, California, Chile, the Mediterranean Basin, and South Africa.  Drought or El Nino, this foliage will look lush year round in L.A.

Dig In!:  This workshop is part of the Gardens of the World community maintenance project.  You will get instruction and hands-on experience with how to prune, weed, mulch and plant – whatever the garden needs to stay looking its best.

Get Guidance:  The La Canada Public Library provides the designs for each of the Gardens of the World and has a host of gardening publications.  Also, the gardens’ designer is on site!

Be sure to bring gloves, sunglasses and/or a hat, sunscreen. We’ll bring all the tools and expertise you’ll need to learn and make a difference! Light refreshments will be provided.
