Ryan Soto joined FormLA Landscaping in December 2021 with 19 years of landscape installation, team management and operations experience, working with large outfits as well as boutique firms.
As the leader of the +Build team of our Design+Build division, Ryan helps us bring our clients’ dreams to life on time and on budget. He engages with our designers to translate hopes and dreams into timelines, teams, equipment and tools. Ryan directs team installation activities onsite and maintains close communication with both clients and the project designer. He also preps our maintenance team with all they need to grow a newly installed garden to its fullest potential.
Ryan is well prepared for this work. Prior to joining FormLA Landscaping, Ryan directed teams serving Disneyland and Chapman University, a variety of other commercial properties and also high-end residential clients. He understands the importance of connecting to the unique needs of each client, each site, and each neighborhood.
Incredibly personable, Ryan also fits in well with our close knit family team. He’s inspired plenty of laughs alongside gains efficacy. We are happy to know this work is not just a job to him, it is an indelible part of his native Southern Californian lifestyle and built into his approach to landscaping. In joining FormLA, Ryan aims to help Angelenos “save water, expand native habitat – and to remove as much concrete as possible.”
When he isn’t creating habitat, Ryan likes to be with his wife, daughters and son – preferably outside in the sun coaching his kids’ sports teams, working on classic cars, or enjoying a body of water. If you catch him out and about, you may meet Zeus, his Italian Mastiff puppy – prepare to lose your heart to the wrinkles!
