Patrick Barrett runs the enhancements team in the FormLAⓇ Landscaping maintenance division. In this position he helps our maintenance clients evolve their landscapes via special projects.
Immediately upon joining the team in early 2023, Patrick began to help Angelenos prepare for the new Zone 0 fire safety requirements. He deftly walked grantees of the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains through their renovation processes, gaining a deep understanding of the requirements as well as effective home-first approaches to landscape renovation.
Beyond his fire defense-focused work, Patrick manages a team of plant installation and construction professionals who evolve the habitats of our maintenance clients. For those with native plant gardens, the team completes seasonal projects. For those with traditional landscapes, the enhancement team can slowly evolve a garden toward providing a vibrant habitat for humans and wildlife.
Prior to joining the FormLA team, Patrick honed his installation and construction in Los Angeles and the Central Valley. He holds a bachelors of arts in economics and political science from Syracuse University.
Originally, from Pennsylvania, Patrick moved to California from Brooklyn in 2021. When not making LA even more beautiful, Patrick enjoys going to sporting events, trying new restaurants, hiking, camping, and spending time with friends and family.
