These sunny yellow blooms are among the first sign that spring is springing in LA, and the owner calls this Flannel Bush (Fremontedendron) the Queen of the Garden. While evergreen and certainly beautiful, this queen is a bit prickly, making it a beautiful way to discourage traffic.
