Hedges of California native Oregon Grape (Mahonia aquifolium) provide privacy, deep shade, habitat, and ever changing seasonal interest. In spring, the hedge is filled with delicate yellow blooms. In summer, it's bright blue berries nearly eclipse its leaves! It fall, it's glossy, holly-like leaves turn shades of yellow, red and mahogany.
